Why We Spent 10 Years Making One Tee | Behind the Scenes at RICKYISCLOWN

Since the very first tee we made, RICKYISCLOWN was never just about making “a basic shirt.”

We cared not only about how it looked—but how it feels.
Is it breathable? Will it last? Can it keep up with your daily life—commutes, weekends, spontaneous trips, blazing hot afternoons?

This time, we documented every step in the making of a single T-shirt.

5  Steps. All About the Craft.
Washing
We start with dense, premium cotton. The fabric goes through pre-shrinking and multiple rounds of washing. The result? A soft, breathable tee that stays in shape—no stiff feel, no shrinking, no sweat traps.

Pattern
We designed our own silhouette, tailored to real human bodies (not mannequins). The shoulder line, sleeve length, and hem are all refined again and again—so it fits clean and easy, never sloppy.

Cut
Once the pattern is finalized, it’s time to cut.
Precision matters here—every piece must match, every edge must be sharp. This is where structure begins.

Printing
Our prints are more than decoration. Using eco-friendly screen print and special layered finishes, we make sure the graphics pop, stay sharp, and don’t peel off after washes. You’ll feel the texture—not just see it.

Sewing
This is where it all comes together. Every seam is stitched by experienced craftspeople—firm, clean, durable. Branded labels and custom tags add the final touch. Real quality is in the quiet details.

Evolving the Craft

Beyond the basics, we’ve started experimenting with new layers of technique—
From textured prints and contrast stitching to patchwork, oil-paint effects, and partial embroidery.
We want every piece to tell more stories, to reveal new faces under different lights—
Just like you. You’re multi-dimensional. Your clothes should be, too.

So, What Are We Really Making?
It’s not just a T-shirt.
We’re making that one shirt you instinctively reach for—the one that fits your mood, feels just right, and somehow feels like you.

Live my Life in the Way I Like.
It’s not a slogan.
It’s how we craft, how we choose, how we live.
